MYOFASCIAL RELEASE

Myofascial Release (MFR) is a hands-on therapy that works with the body’s connective tissue — the fascia — to gently release tension, restriction, and stored emotion. This deeply intuitive work supports healing on physical, emotional, and energetic levels.

At Sacred Hearth Healing, sessions are slow, attuned, and deeply respectful. Instead of force or fixing, we listen together for what your body is ready to release. This creates space for safety, softness, and a return to ease within yourself.

WHAT IS FASCIA?

Fascia is a thin, connective tissue that wraps through your entire body — around muscles, bones, organs, and nerves — like a woven web. It holds everything together, offering structure, support, and flow. When fascia is healthy, it allows your body to move with ease and stay connected from the inside out.

But when we go through stress, injury, repetitive patterns, or emotional overwhelm, fascia can tighten and harden. These restrictions don’t just live in one spot — they can pull on other areas and create pain, discomfort, or a feeling of being stuck or disconnected.

Fascia is deeply linked to the nervous system, which is why the release of tension in the body can often open the door to emotional shifts, spaciousness, and deeper rest.

The word "fascia" comes from the Latin for band or bundle, and "myo" comes from Greek, meaning muscle. So myofascial simply means the muscle and the connective tissue that holds and supports it.

Myofascial Release is about working with these layers — gently, patiently — to invite the body back into a more natural, open, and grounded state.
